  • Two years’ professional work experience and/or a graduate degree in a specialized field (This requirement is reviewed case-by-case.)

  • Professional competency (references required) and a commitment to excellence, which the applicant understands is part of their Christian witness

  • Understanding of biblical and theological truths and a lifestyle proven to effectively communicate the gospel

  • Cross-cultural training or experience

  • Completion of Missions Perspectives course

  • Good physical and emotional health Note: Physical and psychological health assessments are required.

  • Demonstrated commitment to quickly learn the language of the people served

  • Possess no more than $5,000 in outstanding unsecured debt

  • Ability to secure full financial support on the field through one of the following means:

    • Income received from secular employment;

    • Contributions received from churches, individuals, and/or partnering agencies;

    • A combination of secular employment and contributions

  • Membership in a North American Alliance church

  • Relationship with your Alliance District

  • Commitment to work in a specific overseas location for a minimum of two years
